Denmark is a Scandinavian country close to Sweden and Norway. It's possible to drive from the well-known capital city, Copenhagen, up to Sweden in just half an hour. Copenhagen is a very popular tourist destination for the older as well as the younger. With its royal palaces, a wealth of museums, the famous Little Mermaid, Tivoli Gardens and the colorful harbour Nyhavn, there is lots to see and do.
But Denmark is a lot more than just Copenhagen. In Odense (Funen) you can explore the birth town of the famous fairytale writer, Hans Christian Andersen. You could also venture to the very Northern top of Denmark, Skagen. Here you can see where the two oceans, Skagerak Sea and the Kattegat Sea meet and even have one leg in each sea at the same time!
From the top of Denmark and just under an hour's drive or a 35-minute flight from Copenhagen, you will find North Jutland's capital city Aalborg, also called "The Pearl of The North". Here, you can discover Limfjorden, art and architecture, exceptional gastronomy, Northern Europe's largest carnival parade with around 60,000 participants and 100,000 spectators, and of course some of Denmark's best nightlife at the famous “Jomfru Ane Gade".
